Ans -

The Shakya dynasty is indeed a very important part of the Nepalese history. There were a number of eminent personalities born to the Sakhyas. However the most notable among them was Gautama Buddha. His principles are followed by people living in North Eastern part of India, as well as by other people residing in other parts of the world as well. It is this famous person who propagated the positive spirit of Buddhism all over Nepal as well as other regions where Buddhism spread gradually.

The capital of the "Shakyas" was "Kapilavastu" which is situated in Nepal.

The Shakyas were great warriors and they were Kshatriyas in origin. It is because of their heroic deeds that Nepal became very famous.

Nepal is geographically connected with many other important regions and this dynasty and its people left an overall influence over the whole country and its neighboring regions as well.

The Founder of Buddhism “Gautama Buddha” was from Gautama Gotra of Shakya Caste and born in Shakya clan of Kapilvastu located in Nepal. In Nepalese historyShakya dynasty plays an important role because in this dynasty Siddhartha Shakya was born, a Hindu Kshatriya and founder of Buddhism. There are still many areas like Tamang, Magar and Gurung located in Northern part of Nepal still following Buddhism.  Even though Buddhism had found by Gautama Buddha but his family and other people of Shakya clan had not followed Buddhism.
